The Brandon Spikes Video Sex Tape Issue is just that because Former University of Florida and now New England Patriots Linebacker Brandon Spikes is in a video having sex with a hot white girl. If Brandon Spikes were in a video having sex with a black woman, hot or no, it would not be news unless she was Beyonce.

Jeff Garcia signed with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League on Wednesday, a month after former Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell's name briefly appeared on the Nighthawks roster. Garcia, 40, played five seasons for the 49ers and was with the Raiders last preseason before being cut. The four-time Pro Bowl selection signed with Philadelphia and played in one game before the Eagles released him in September.

Brett Favre was sacked in his first preseason game on Sunday. Experts say Favre can skip most of camp and still be ready for the regular season because he knows the system so well. The National Football League perpetrates two annual frauds: one against the American public, the other against players who give body and blood to make the league a multibillion-dollar enterprise. The first fraud is preseason football, those empty, glamorized scrimmages that teams force on season-ticket holders as parts of the regular-season package. The second, more dangerous fraud is training camp, which exposes veteran players to unnecessary risk...

Let's see how many words I can write on four plays. Because that's all the action Brett Favre saw Sunday night in his preseason debut at San Francisco. (*You'll find out the total if you stick around until the end of this post. The suspense builds....) The short version: Favre completed one pass and absorbed one pretty good lick, courtesy of an Adrian Peterson "olé " that will make Minnesota Vikings coaches think twice about using him as their third-down back this season. The Vikings originally planned to play Favre up to 10 plays, but coach Brad Childress had...

Washington Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth said after Saturday night's 23-3 preseason loss to Baltimore that he believes team officials are still holding his absence during the off-season conditioning program against him and that they underplayed the severity of maladies that prevented him from practicing last week. He also complained openly about playing in the second half of a preseason game, contending that role is beneath a player of his stature. Haynesworth appeared in the third quarter against Baltimore and played with the second team, sacking third-string Baltimore quarterback Troy Smith in his most explosive play of this preseason. But...

We're rolling with the Cowboys on their way to San Diego. Its an old school trip aboard an Amtrak train. The media is along for the ride as the team heads south from their training camp home in Oxnard to face the Chargers in preseason game number three. I haven't been on a train trip since I was 5 and have to say its not nearly as bad as I initially thought it would be. The ride is smoother than you could ever expect, and really is stress free. We're told the trip takes about four hours, and the only...

Having Brett Favre on your home team may cause you heartburn, what with all the retiring/unretiring talk, but when he does finally settle in and say, Im coming back fans gobble up tickets at an incredible rate. With Favre now returning to the Minnesota Vikings after his ankle surgery, ticket sales on the secondary resale market have (once again) skyrocketed, up an average of $50 per ticket for home games at the Metrodome, according to ticket search engine company, FanSnap. Leading the way for home games are tickets for Favres former team, the Green Bay Packers which are averaging an...

Though he has officially been back for several days, Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre will play in the Vikings' preseason game Sunday at San Francisco. Vikings head coach Brad Childress said Friday at a press conference that Favre is going to play a series or two, and Tarvaris Jackson will back him up after that. Favre returned to the Vikings on Tuesday after weeks of uncertainty if he would play another season or retire. Wide receiver Percy Harvin collapsed on the field at the Minnesota Vikings' practice Thursday and was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, according to reports. Harvin has suffered from severe migraine headaches since childhood. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Harvin suffered a migraine earlier Thursday. "I don't know how to classify" the episode, Vikings Coach Brad Childress said, according to the Star Tribune. "Not really a seizure, but he had some trouble over here. I'd be remiss if I tried to qualify it one way or the other. He seemed like he was stable. Shugs [head athletic trainer...
